The Cole County circuit court entered a judgment against New Approach Missouri (NAM) in their lawsuit to reinstate 2,242 invalidated signatures from the second congressional district. NORML KC, the local Kansas City, MO chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) is collecting signatures for a decriminalization initiative. Under the proposal, if someone is caught with less than 35 grams of marijuana, they would get a city ordinance violation with a maximum $25 fine. There would be no records and no arrests made.
