A statewide signature gathering campaign is now in full swing following kickoff events across the state. On Veterans Day 2016 the Greater Saint Louis NORML, Springfield NORML, Kansas City NORML, Missouri University NORML and Mid-MO NORML chapters launched ‘’NORML's Project 4-22’’ to educate veterans and citizens of Missouri and beyond on what medical cannabis is, and isn’t. The Cole County circuit court entered a judgment against New Approach Missouri (NAM) in their lawsuit to reinstate 2,242 invalidated signatures from the second congressional district. Kansas City Cannabis Reform Advocates Launch Ballot Initiative

NORML KC, the local Kansas City, MO chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) is collecting signatures for a decriminalization initiative. Under the proposal, if someone is caught with less than 35 grams of marijuana, they would get a city ordinance violation with a maximum $25 fine. There would be no records and no arrests made.
