St. Louis City Marijuana Legalization

The second Legislation Committee meeting to legalize the cultivation and possession of cannabis in the City of St. Louis was a tremendous success. This was the first meeting for public comment and the room was packed.

Cannabis activists from all over the city and county flooded into the hearing room at City Hall to give public testimony for passage of Board Bill 180 (BB180). The next meeting has not been scheduled by Legislation Committee Chairman Joe Vaccaro. City residents need to keep up an intense communication with their alderman to get the second public hearing scheduled for this important legislation.

Campaign Update: The Finish Line Is In Sight!

The New Approach Missouri campaign to legalize medical marijuana in Missouri has precious little time to secure a place on the November 6, 2018 ballot. More than a year ago activists started collecting valuable voter signatures, but that long journey will come to an end in just a few short weeks.

Campaign manager John Payne wrote to supporters, “to successfully close out signature collection, we hope to raise $15k from grassroots donors online in the month of March.” In the first few days of March Payne stated, ”we are off to a great start, as we have already raised nearly $1,000 in grassroots contributions in the first three days of the month!”

You can choose to help medical cannabis succeed in Missouri by contributing $100, $50, or $25 now and signing up to attend a volunteer event. Donate online here.
