Hemp Returns to Missouri

Hemp returns to Missouri photo

Hours before resigning the Governorship, Eric Greitens signed into law HB 2034 legalizing Industrial Hemp in Missouri. This act creates an industrial hemp agricultural pilot program to be implemented by the Department of Agriculture.

Under the 2014 Farm Bill, states can only study the growth, cultivation, processing, feeding, and marketing of industrial hemp when coupled with an institute of higher learning or certified research program. It will become effective on August 28, 2018.

Missouri food products shall not be considered adulterated if the food contains industrial hemp, or an industrial hemp commodity or product. This could open the door for commercialized sales of hemp oil in Missouri!

Billboard Campaigns Generate Unprecedented Response

Greater St. Louis NORML Board of Directors has agreed to continue our public media campaign to promote medical marijuana awareness throughout the St. Louis metro area.

Our message, “States that legalize medical marijuana reduce opioid deaths by 25%”, was posted on our newest digital billboard launched on May 22, 2018. Help us continue our campaign with a donation.
